The city uses an automated notification system designed to improve communication between residents and developers who are proposing projects. The notification system will alert subscribers, by email and/or text, when a developer schedules a neighborhood meeting. The meeting provides a developer an opportunity to share details of a proposed project with citizens and other interested parties and, in turn, receive valuable feedback.
The types of projects requiring a developer-initiated meeting notice include rezonings; special, public or semipublic uses and comprehensive plan amendments. The city requires developers to have a neighborhood meeting as part of its approval process. To sign up for notifications, visit www.codb.us/NotifyMe.
