[ARCHIVED] CARE program: City waives permit fees

WEB_Permit Fees June 5 2020

As part of the city’s COVID-19 Assistance Recovery Effort (CARE) program, commercial and residential building permit fees are waived through Tuesday, June 23.

Residential and commercial permits for projects are included for anything from fences, roofs and swimming pools to construction of new homes and commercial buildings. (The incentive does not waive impact fee payments or the need to apply for a permit.)

As of May 30, 1,185 permits have been issues for a cumulative construction value of $73.5 million.

The Permits & Licensing office located at City Hall, 301 S. Ridgewood Ave., is open to assist customers from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can also apply online online at http://codb.us/permitslicensing for window and door, roofing and mechanical permits if registered with Volusia County Contractor Licensing. For all other permits, email applications to Contact_PnL@ci.daytona-beach.fl.us. Applications can also be faxed to (386) 671-8149. Residents or contractors with questions should call (386) 671-8178.
