The City of Daytona Beach Utilities Department will temporarily shut down the reclaimed water distribution system to perform routine maintenance to its five million gallon storage tank located at the city’s wastewater treatment plant on LPGA Blvd. Maintenance is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, with an estimated completion date of Saturday, Sept. 5.
Reuse water, also known as reclaimed water, will not be available for landscape irrigation during this period. This will affect about 1,000 customers in the general area west of Williamson and north of International Speedway boulevards. Customers within the affected area will be notified by mail and signs will be posted in neighborhoods. Customers with questions concerning this temporary shutdown can call (386) 671-8815.
