- Developer-initiated meetings: The city uses an automated notification system to improve communication between residents and developers and will send an alert to subscribers via email and/or text when a developer schedules a neighborhood meeting.
- The City Manager’s Update provide more in-depth details about projects and initiatives happening in the city and is distributed on days the City Commission meets.

Cedar Highlands repaving almost completeThe city’s ambitious road resurfacing program is finishing up paving in the Cedar Highlands area and moving into the next phase, which is the 3rd Street corridor. Crews are working 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Both areas are scheduled to be complete by the beginning of May, weather dependent.

The Love Band kicks off the Midtown Music Concert SeriesThe city-sponsored Midtown Music Concert Series begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, with a performance by The Love Band at Daisy Stocking Park in Daytona Beach. The Love Band originated on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University. Its members are former students who love to perform for folks who love to dance. The band has performed in the Bahamas, at NASCAR events, music festivals, private galas, colleges, universities and countless private parties. The Midtown Music Concert Series showcases the best local bands from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on select Saturday nights through September. Daisy Stocking Park is at 550 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd. Food and drink vendors will be onsite during the concerts. Attendees can bring their own lawn chairs. No coolers are allowed.

Be a part of the Easter Beach RunAfter being canceled the past two years due to the pandemic, the Easter Beach Run is back! Be a part of this Easter tradition, which is Saturday, April 16, on the beach by the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell.
Custom finisher medals and shirts are provided for the first 800 registered 2-mile/4-mile runners and walkers completing the race. There are also kids’ races that start at 10:30 a.m.
