Get inspired by "Mural Madness" in Daytona Beach, a vibrant celebration of art from April 5-14. This free, city-spanning event transforms ONE DAYTONA, Beach Street and Midtown into an open-air gallery, where the streets come alive with spectacular murals. Charter Review Commission hosts two Town Hall meetings

Members of the Charter Review Commission (CRC) have met several times to discuss changes to the city’s charter. A final report will be presented to the City Commission on June 5. The CRC is hosting Town Hall meetings where the public can share their recommendations:

Do you need documents safely shredded?

Reduce the chance of becoming a victim of identity theft by safely shredding outdated and unwanted documents at the "Community Shred Event" from 9 a.m. to noon. Saturday, April 13 in Mainland High School's gym parking lot, 1255 W. International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach. The Daytona Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is hosting the event. Bring a pack of new t-shirts or socks for donation to a local homeless shelter and enjoy complimentary document shredding.

Daytona Beach ranked 7th best city to relocate

Florida’s population increased by 18% from 2010 to 2022, making it the third-largest state by population in the United States. During the same time period, Daytona Beach gained nearly 20,000 residents. Why are people choosing to relocate to our community? USA Today published a list of the most desirable cities in Florida to move to, and Daytona Beach ranked seventh out of 30. Details on the ranking can be found here.

Registration is open for youth summer camp

Summer Camp registration is open for youth ages five to 16 at four of the city's community centers. Beginning June 3, the nine-week camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The fee is $270 per child or $35 a week. Financial scholarships are available for qualifying youth. Campers can enjoy daily games and activities, free breakfast and lunch, field trips and activities.

Midtown Music Concerts begin Saturday, April 20

Get ready to dance the night away at this year’s Midtown Music Concert Series, which will return to the stage in newly refurbished Daisy Stocking Park, 555 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd.
