Garbage & Strom debris Collection

Collection Schedule: Household garbage and recycling collection resumes today, Monday, Oct. 14.

Storm Debris Collection: Storm debris collection begins Monday, Oct. 21.

Removal Guidelines: Residents should bring storm debris to the public right of way, the area that extends from the street to the sidewalk, ditch, utility pole or easement. Keep debris off the road; this obstructs traffic, hinders cleanup and power restoration efforts and makes it difficult for emergency vehicles to pass.

  • Do not place leaves or small yard waste in bags.
  • Keep debris away from drainage ditches, inlets, mailboxes and power lines. Do not cover storm drains and never block fire hydrants.
  • Sort debris into separate piles for vegetation (leaves, branches and cut trees), construction and demolition debris (building materials, carpet, furniture, fences, drywall, etc.) and appliances and white goods (refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, stoves).
  • Haulers will only pick up storm debris that is appropriately separated. Electronics and household hazardous waste will not be collected.
