We are seeking your input to help guide how federal grant funds are used in our community. Each year, the city of Daytona Beach receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships program funds to support various activities that provide decent housing, establish and maintain suitable living environments and expand economic opportunity to primarily benefit low- and very low-income residents. To allocate these funds in the best interest of the community, we are seeking feedback from residents through a survey. The short nine-question online survey asks residents to prioritize activities for funding, identify neighborhood challenges and what services are most needed. Feedback will be used in the development of an Annual Action Plan for FY 2025-2026.
The brief survey asks about your priorities and experiences and includes questions in two main sections. You’ll be asked to share:
- Which community needs are most important to you—such as affordable housing, help for small businesses, youth and senior programs or homelessness support.
- The biggest housing challenges in your neighborhood, like homes needing repair or a lack of affordable rentals.
- What types of services are most needed in your area, including mental health care, job training, legal or financial assistance, or food access.
About you (confidential)
To help us better understand the feedback, we’ll ask a few general questions such as:
- Whether you live in Daytona Beach and your housing or business status
- Your age range and household size
- Your racial/ethnic background (optional)
Your answers will help ensure that federal funds are directed toward the areas and services that matter most to our residents.
